Achim Heukemes
Achim Heukemes is a German ultramarathon runner born on September 25, 1951, in Wuppertal. A former truck driver, he started running in the 1980s and eventually left his job to focus on competitive sports. He has won 10 world titles in Ironman Masters and earned a silver medal in a 24-hour time trial. Known for extreme feats, he crossed the U.S. by foot and bike in 79 days for his 60th birthday. At 73, he remains a prominent figure in endurance sports and is an ambassador for the FitLine brand, supporting charitable initiatives like World Vision.
