5 Things to Do in Brazil

Where will you be from March 08 – 15, 2019? Here’s an idea: How about going on an exclusive vacation to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil? Because that’s where the next PM World Tour could take you. But if you want to join in, there is no time to lose. The qualification period runs until the end of November. Reason enough to get cracking on the final stretch to securing your dream vacation, paid for by PM-International. Go to your back-office to find out how you can qualify.

These 5 highlights to do and see in Brazil will put the Samba step into your work flow:

1. Visit Mirante Dona Marta

When it comes to views of Rio de Janeiro, the best lookout point is a place you’ve probably never heard of: Mirante Dona Marta. You get a fantastic view of the city, Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Guanabara Bay. The outlook platform sits on a cliffside in the Tijuca forest. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for massive lizards and monkeys in the trees around you.

2. Go for that postcard shot!

Touristy or not, you wouldn’t want to come home from vacation in Brazil without having visited the most famous tourist attraction: the statue of Christ the Redeemer. So, grab your phone and take a selfie with the gigantic monument on top of the Corcovado mountain. The best time for photos is early in the morning when the sun isn’t up high yet — there is little to no haze in the skyline and there are less crowds in your picture.

3. Life’s a Beach

Sip a Caipirinha at the Copacabana and play beach volleyball in the Brazilian sand. Or even check out the beach east of the Copacabana, Leme, which is just as nice but might be a little bit calmer.

4. Step it up!

The world-famous colorful and artistic steps Escadaria Selarón connect the bohemian neighborhoods Lapa and Santa Teresa, which by the way are also worth paying a visit to. Santa Teresa is a hilltop district with a charming, village-like vibe. Steep, winding streets are lined with elegant old mansions, chic boutique hotels, quirky cocktail bars and romantic restaurants with bay views. Lapa is known for its traditional bars, live music clubs, dance halls, and the open-air samba jams held beneath the Roman-style aqueduct, Arcos da Lapa.

5. Lunch at Gaia Art & Café

Of course, there are many good places to eat in Rio de Janeiro. An insider recommends Gaia Art & Café, only steps away from the beach. The veggie dishes are a delight and some evenings entertain with fantastic live music. We say, let’s try it out.
